Art Classes


I run  classes and private lessons in watercolour, oil painting and drawing , they are suitable for all levels of painters. Students are encouraged to free up and adopt a loose style of painting.  I am a qualified teacher who has worked in the University sector. I also run art classes on Fred Olsen cruises... its a good life !

Watercolour Art Lessons in Louth   at   2 Crowtree Lane, Louth. LN11 9LN  (see map)

Wednesday mornings 10am -12 pm    &    Wednesday afternoons 2-4pm 

The sessions are workshop sessions which run for two hours and in that time typically paint a landscape. The classes are suitable for all levels of painters and we adopt a loose free style. No previous experience is required.  Bring watercolour paints, brushes, paper and a sketchpad with you. View Art class paintings. August workshops  - Watercolour  Full Day Sessions

Wednesday 5th Aug and Wed 26th Aug 2026 ( Book into just ONE),  10.30 until around 4pm. £55 for the day, including a light lunch At 2 Crowtree Lane, Ln11 9LN

During the day, we will loosely paint a Venice view. We will explore drawing buildings  as well as including people in paintings. I will provide inspiration, instruction, tea/coffee and a light lunch. You will need to bring watercolour paper, paints and brushes. It's a great way to meet people and develop your artistic self. Suitable for both beginners and more experienced painters

Join the Art Classes at my house

Join a small friendly group  . Watercolour workshops  2 hour session £15.  I run workshop style sessions and  provide inspiration and guidance in techniques.  Come along with your painting materials - See watercolour materials list.

Private lessons approx  2 hours 

A great way to build your watercolour or oil painting skills. Focus depending on individuals requirements. I can focus for example on watercolour or  oil techniques, drawing, perspective , styles of master painters.
£60  one person
£95  two people

Private lesson Day in Oil or Watercolour 

A day in my studio, with individual tuition. Ideal for getting started painting. Can be adapted to meet your requirements. Includes materials and lunch. Makes a wonderful gift. Voucher available.
£130 one person
£190 two people

Demonstrations

I can demonstrate to your club or society. Just ring me to chat about your requirements. I charge £90 plus travel. 

Workshops for your art group

I can teach a group at your art club. A 2hr watercolour workshop to paint a landscape for groups of up to 12 people. Ring me to chat about your requirements.
£15 per person minimum 5
or £90 for the group.

You are always welcome to come and see me and see what I have been up to. Just ring or email beforehand, so I know you are coming.
